![]() I just spent the aformed almost 7K on the truck to repair it a month after i bought it. Im a bit to chicken shit to get custom tunes. Tow 40- is for 5th wheel or heavier equipment, larger car haulers etc. ![]() ![]() Preformace - run this all times unless towing for MPG and better Street- is if you dont want to run performance and want it "stock-ish" Tow 65 - is for lighter tow loads like a ultra light camper, or trailer with smaller items like an ATV. I have an SCT 4 i think? Im not positive but they are whats default on the tuner. Torq is what you want not HP per say (obviously you want some that goes without saying) Im speaking it again 3rd party and im not positive how to word it. he explained it as such : Using more power for heavier loads can still dmg the heads you want less power (given the tune still gives you 40 HP above average ) so you arent running "high strung" the whole way. I was informed by a local shop i called that im to run the 65 HP tune on lighter loads and for the heavy 5th wheel and other equally heavy loads to use the lower 40 HP tune. Used for warranty repairs and unlocking the programmer.Sorry for the late reply back. Stores a true copy of your vehicle's stock file before programming. This tune should not be used for towing and DiabloSport highly recommends the use of an aftermarket cold air intake and diesel exhaust for best results. * Vehicles with Automatic Transmissions ONLYĪllow you to set the axle ratio (gear ratio) to correct shift patterns and the speedometer on your vehicle.Īllows you to set the tire size to correct shift patterns and the speedometer on your vehicle. This will also aid in engine braking as well.Īllows you to Remove, Increase or Decrease the vehicles speed limiter.Īllows you to Increase or Decrease the vehicles idle speed.Īllows you to Increase or Decrease the Wide Open Throttle Shift points of each gear individually.Īllows you to change the transmissions shift pressure. Gives a more aggressive shift schedule helping keep the engine in its power band longer while towing. Aids in engine breaking, increases fuel economy, and can be used for drag racing as well. It can be used in conjunction with the Jake Brake as well. This is less aggressive than the Jake Brake file so it may be ideal for smaller loads. I have updated my scanner layout to include VOL FUEL. MFDES still stops at 100 MG but added VOL FUEL to the log and it gets up to 125 MM3 on a wide open pull. Keeps the torque converter locked during deceleration to aid in engine braking. Nothing in the tune has been changed since I last posted my tune. Used as an exhaust brake to increase engine braking while coasting towing heavier loads. Note: SCT 9817 EGT Kit is required to read exhaust gas temperatures.
